The Ice Hotel in the village of Jukkasjärvi in northern Lapland is old news (this is the 17th construction). Even so, we love the fact that each year artists from around the world are brought in to create 22 unique suites. Right now (through April), you can slumber amid work from far-flung designers out of Sweden, Bulgaria, even Hollywood. This year's roster includes Doug Meerdink and David E. Scott, who have been Art Directors and Graphic Designers on movies such as Mission Impossible III and War of the Worlds. Their suite is called The Helices and is based on "the wonderment for that which lies beyond our worldly reach."
