stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

We think José González's album "Veneer" sounds just right to cook the Christmas ham by, or wrap gifts to, and it's also an effective holiday de-stressor. González was born and raised in Sweden, but his father is Argentinean, and there's a trace of Latin America in the music. The result is an alchemy made up of González's gentle voice, an acoustic guitar, and songs that waft agreeably through a room. The CD includes "Heartbeats" which was used in an award-winning Sony Bravia commercial that featured colored balls bouncing down the streets of San Francisco (the extended version is especially magical).
