stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

Sure, your remote control can change your TV's channels. Big whoop. Here's a way to remote control a building half-way around the world.

There's an art installation called "Colour By Numbers" set up in a Stockholm tower and you'll need a phone and your computer at this website to play. You call the number given on the website, follow the simple instructions in English, and watch your new lighting scheme appear almost instantly up and down the side of the tower. You'll want to do this, of course, when it's dark in Sweden, which is now six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time. The cost is the equivalent of an overseas call to a cell phone, and the event ends March 31.

It would be great to see another building step up for a similar lightshow, perhaps charge for the call and donate the proceeds to a good cause. We're looking at you, Eiffel Tower or Empire State Building!
