stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

Good news, opera buffs. Soprano Deborah Voigt is on the road. In addition to performing in full productions, she's got a dozen solo recitals, with accompanist Brian Zeger, lined up for the first half of the year around the country. In recitals, Ms. Voigt is known to mix Strauss and Schubert with Sondheim and leaven the proceedings with generous supplies of wit and warmth. Her album from 2005 called "All My Heart" showcases American composers from the past 150 years, including Charles Ives, Leonard Bernstein, and Ben Moore. It should whet your appetite for an evening with the adored diva.
