Explosions in the Sky creates gorgeous, complex, instrumental indie rock.

Their new album, out tomorrow, is called "All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone." It's another one out of the park. There is implicit future-of-the-world anxiety in both the song titles ("Catastrophe and the Cure") and in the music itself, which rather improbably is both epic and intimate, apocalyptic and hopeful.

The band gives amazingly good live shows and they're touring now through the beginning of June.

Best cut: "The Birth and Death of the Day"
