There may be Broadway musical scores as gorgeous as "The Light in the Piazza," though it's tough to name many ("The Most Happy Fella," maybe, or "Sunday in the Park With George"). Perhaps it's genetic, since composer Adam Guettel is the grandson of Richard Rodgers, who certainly had a way with melody. "Light in the Piazza" is on a national tour now and even though its Broadway star, Victoria Clark, isn’t touring, her role is being played by Christine Andreas -- an exquisitely gifted singer.
