From piles of old cookbooks, textbooks, encyclopedias, calendars, and other materials one step from the recycle bin, 34-year-old Hans Wuerfmannsdobler makes wonderful, one-of-a-kind greeting cards.
His day job is at a San Francisco non-profit. But in his spare time, he works with vintage images and an X-Acto knife to create fun mashups of pop culture.
SIngle cards with a handmade envelope are generally $9. If you need a custom card, Hans will work with you, provided he's got the materials that match what you need. Those run $10 and up. He can do pop-up elements, too.
