stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

For those of you on a Mac, we've got a fantastic application you should know about.

It's called Journler and it's designed to be a daily journal as well as an information manager. Throw anything into it: your thoughts, PDFs, emails, images, random scraps of information, and Journler will keep it all organized. You can make quick audio recordings or take videos and save them. It also has great integration with iLife. You can even use it to write, edit, and upload blog posts.

There are other info managers available, but we think Journler has the best combo of features, functionality, and stability. Its secret weapon is Phil Dow, one of the most passionate and responsive developers out there.

Journler lacks one feature that could be a dealbreaker for some: there's no syncing it between computers. Even so, we'd have a hard time getting through a day without it.

Note that the current version is 2.02, and the website says the next version is 2.1. It will actually be 2.5 and is scheduled for release this month. You can download a stable beta version here. Journler is donation-ware, which means individuals who can afford to donate should do so. All organizational use requires a license.

This sounds really good. Ive been looking for something software like this for a long time. But, I am a PC user. Is there anything out there for a PC user?

I use a Mac at home, PC with Windows at work. I had the same question as you. After much searching, I found a few OK solutions. The only one I'm fairly happy with is EverNote. Not as nice as Journler, but still free and gets the job done.
