Such a simple idea with such a modern result: Jasper van Grootel's Studio JSPR dips antique, mostly baroque furniture -- chairs, sconces, settees, you name it -- in a high-grade rubber in a color of your choice.
Not cheap (the Voltaire 1 chair rings in at $1,685) but eminently durable, completely waterproof and very stylish in an "it came from Tim Burton's mad summer cottage" kind of way.
