When you hit South Beach, we're guessing that culture isn't foremost on your mind. Understood.
But let's say it rains. You can't do better than an hour or two at the Rubell Family Collection. It's one family's collection of modern art from the 1960s to the present, and the roster is impressive: Anselm Kiefer, Julian Schnabel, David Salle, Keith Haring -- you get the idea.
The museum is housed in a former D.E.A. confiscated-goods warehouse, so there's ample room (actually 27 galleries) to take it all in. Currently, there's an exhibition focusing on the L.A. art scene.
