Being urban dwellers, we have no idea whether the hills are really alive with the sound of music. But yours halls can be.
Thanks to a smart, sleek system called Sonos, all that digital music in your computer can play in any room of your house or apartment. It's done through wireless streaming, a ZonePlayer in the areas you want music, and a remote control.
Sonos works with Macs and PCs and is surprisingly simple to set up. You need to be using a cable or DSL modem for your broadband connection. The two-room package is $1,000 -- not cheap.
But for anyone with a growing digital music collection, and anything larger than a studio apartment, Sonos rocks.
