Brisa Roché is a mess of contradictions -- a San Francisco-born, mountain commune-raised troubadour whose blend of lo-fi/indie pop/lounge/jazz earned her enough attention in Paris, her chosen homebase, to release a tiny first album ("The Chase" in 2005) on Blue Note and now, on Capitol, the sophomore disc "Takes," out May 21. Did we mention she favors big, crazy headdresses and looks a little like Björk?
