In our book, a little cute goes a long way. And yet: we think the Eggling is ingenious.
When you get your Eggling, you crack the top of the white, egg-shaped porcelain by tapping on it with a spoon. Inside, there's seeded soil -- you choose from basil, parsley, mint, thyme, or several flowers. Add water, some sunlight and off you go.
The plants will grow in the egg for months, after which they can be repotted. The Egglings run about $10 each.
