You want a still life with fruit? Forget it.
Kinetica is a London museum, opened last October, that showcases the convergence of art and technology.
In the past century, as machines played ever-more significant roles in everyday lives, artists began to reflect that by broadening their approach to work -- one that would encompass engineering, robotics, computers, sensors, and lasers. Kinetica is dedicated to exhibiting those artists who have incorporated these new technologies into their art.
This month, the mechanical sculptures of the Cabaret Mechanical Theater get the full retrospective treatment.
