Straight-from-the factory Mini Cooper for $50!

That's not a spam email subject line, it's the kind of real-life occurrence that's helped generate high interest in Limbo, a tiny Burlingame, Calif.-based outfit, since it launched in late 2005. A Salt Lake City woman paid $50.43 for her new car through Limbo's fully legit auction service, where you bid for merch via text message and the lowest unique offer wins.

How is this possible, you ask? The word-of-mouth value of scoring a Mini Coop -- or a brand-new iPod, which sold on Limbo for less than a fiver -- has corporate sponsors lining up to get a piece of the auction action.
