Lots of people write about fashion. Few are as entertaining as the blogger known as Manolo of Manolo's Shoe Blog, who takes his nom de plume, of course, from the great shoe designer Manolo Blahnik.
This blogger, whose identity is not revealed, will tip you off to a big shipment of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes at Bluefly, dispense shoe advice, and pronounce on current trends in his resolutely third-person voice: "Manolo says, surprisingly, the metallics are still in, but this year, it is the silver that is hottest, and you could not do much better than this silverly slingback from the Dolce and the Gabbana."
Hot off the press is The Consolation of The Shoes, a novella (sort of), in which the late-night appearance of a mysterious woman sparks a young Manolo to search for the Holy Grail (the perfect pair of shoes).
