stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

Catfights, fashion feuds, and power plays -- it may be fun (and sometimes accurate) for fans of The Devil Wears Prada to think of magazine publishing company Conde Nast that way.

The idea of doing some good could be a buzzkill, so you're free to think of Wine.Dine.Donate as just an entertaining evening. The event, which is the brainchild of Epicurious' editor-in chief, Tanya Wenman Steel, actually does a couple of things at once. It brings together people who love food, and raises money to fight hunger in this country through America's Second Harvest.

You can join one of the galas in five cities -- NY, Boston, Chicago, L.A., and San Fran -- that will take place between June 4th-8th or host your own party. Tickets are $100 ($150 in NY), which gets you a cocktail hour and dinner, a special menu designed by top chefs at one of the great restaurants in each city. Alternatively, you can host your own party -- and Epicurious provides some chef's menus you can use -- to raise money for the cause.

Even Miranda Priestly might approve.
