"Istanbul (not Constantinople)" goes the old Tin Pan Alley tune -- though there's not much razzmatazz in these moody, alluring photos of Turkey's largest city. The show is called "Istanbul: City of a Hundred Names" featuring work by the photographer Alex Webb.
You can see them at the Joseph Bellows Gallery in La Jolla, California and a selection on the gallery's website -- they've got us longing for a visit to the city that straddles two continents.
