stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

It will be hard to imagine daytime without Bob Barker. And yet the game show host will retire from his "Price is Right" duties in June after a series of tributes on CBS.

There will be one last souped-up nighttime version of the show that made "Come On Down!" famous on Wednesday, May 16th. The next night, the network will air "Bob Barker: A Celebration of 50 Years on Television."

Over on the Game Show Network next week, they'll be doing some celebrating of their own, with a week of special programming on the theme of Bob Barker.

Some of us pre-date "The Price is Right" back to Barker's "Truth or Consequences" -- which means he's been in living rooms since December 31, 1956, when Eisenhower was President.

Bob Barker is as worthy as ANY television personality for a full tribute from CBS. He has contributed far beyond being the host of America's longest running television program. I applaud his efforts to help control the pet population. Thank you Bob!
