The kids get all the ink. But fashion stalwart Diane von Furstenburg, who made her first splash in 1972 with her now-signature jersey wrap dresses, has been on our radar a couple of times recently.
First off, we're quite taken with her line of dresses available at Neiman Marcus. No needless markup here -- many of them sell for less than $350. The prints, especially, seem fresh, even after their nod to the '60s and '70s.
Then there's this: Samsung asked Ms. von Furstenberg to create a new look for one of their cellphones and Ms. v. F. came up with the idea of using Andy Warhol's portrait of her on the phone itself. The phone looks as if it's been dipped into the painting and we think Warhol would approve of this art and commerce mix. Limited edition of 1000.
