stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

Shooting and editing a four-minute film in 12 hours -- doesn't sound that hard, right?

But what if you're only handed a theme when the clock starts ticking? That's the idea behind FilmRacing, a project blowing through a dozen U.S. cities this summer (up next: Miami, Minneapolis and L.A.) and challenging anyone to participate.

Finalist films are selected and shown in screenings in participating cities and online at the project's website, where viewers can vote for their favorites.

See films, vote for your favorite or sign up to race here.

Seems cool and all but it's an awful lot like the Bloodshots and Alamo Drafthouse BPM 48 hour video competetion that started a few years back.
