The first thing you'll want to know about SuTree is what's a SuTree. It's a combo word that combines tree with the Sanskrit 'Sutra,' meaning a thread that holds things together or a kind of manual, as in Kama Sutra.
With us so far? Good, because this is a website in which a little concentration and attention is rewarded. The idea is to provide free lessons, tutorials, lectures and how-to guides -- all in video form -- so that you can learn something on any subject that interests you.
Right now there are over 5,000 lessons. You can learn how to change a fuse. How to introduce yourself in Chinese. How to create .ZIP files. How mountains are made. How martinis are made. Planning an organic garden. How to construct a Second Life. A history of the tango.
Even though it's still in Beta, SuTree is already incredibly useful -- a perfect complement to Wikipedia -- and (seat us with the geeks here) makes learning a lot of fun.
