One way to make a name for yourself: think of a Paco Rabanne dress and cover the Selfridge's department store in Birmingham, England with thousands of aluminum discs.
Completed in 2003, it's been a much-talked-about building in the U.K. ever since, and it's put the architecture firm Future Systems firmly on the map.
Design fans should have a good time browsing the company's website, looking at past and future designs -- they are utterly distinctive, occasionally jaw-dropping, always interesting.
