stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

She's a dame (Dame Commander of the British Empire, that is). She's been pinned with the French Légion d'Honneur. If Sean Connery is the only Bond worth his martini, she's the only Bond theme chanteuse for us. And at last week's mud-caked Glastonbury Music Festival, she shared a bill with everyone from the Arctic Monkeys to Amy Winehouse -- in jewel-crusted, monogrammed wellies.

If you don't have enough reasons to love boom-voiced, 70-year-old Dame Shirley Bassey, yesterday's release of her new CD "Get the Party Started" should seal the deal. Following on the success of her "The Remix Album: Diamonds Are Forever," Bassey's first release in almost a decade -- whose title track is a Pink cover -- finds some of her most memorable moments remixed ("I Who Have Nothing," "This Is My Life") and sounding fresher than ever.
