stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

Have an extra bag of marshmallows in a cupboard? They're the perfect accompaniment -- toasted or not -- for Summercamp!, the small, soft, and sweet documentary now in theaters.

Directors Bradley Beesley (a perfect name for such a film) and Sarah Price have followed 90 kids for three weeks at Swift Nature Camp in northern Wisconsin. It's really a movie about childhood and adolescence -- the kids do the usual camp activities, but it's the emotion invested in those activities, in each other, and in the world around them that make the movie so engaging.
