In the first wave of internet madness, there were plenty of websites, almost all gone, that said the web would make brick and mortar stores obsolete. Mall shopping would be a thing of the past. Nice try.
But the website Shopbop, which carries an amazing array of women's clothing for you to peruse and purchase, could certainly cut down the number of your real-world shopping jaunts.
What Shopbop and most other virtual department stores haven't had is a couture "floor." So it's news that Shopbop will be launching its high-end Designer Boutique in the coming weeks. Derek Lam, Sari Gueron, and Chris Benz are among the designers represented.
Now when the urge to splurge hits you, all you need to do is warm up your credit card and fire up your web browser. Dangerous, huh?
