Gregory Blackstock is a listmaker, but not in the way that you might jot stuff down to get it done.
The autistic former pot-washer from Seattle is given to drawing pictorial taxonomies of anything that tickles his imagination, from birds to bombers to spatulas, and his work is arresting in its patternlike simplicity and minutiae-oriented detail.
Take a look for yourself in Blackstock's Collections: The Drawings of an Artistic Savant which brings more than 100 of these renderings together in one hypnotic volume.
