stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

We bow to any little thing that undercuts the cold, hard ways of our tech-powered existence with a little nature, and Japanese interactive-digital klatch Tha Ltd. -- the outfit behind sleek projects like the website for Uniqlo's UT line of T-shirts -- just released one (under its SCR design banner) that makes us giggle.

Install their Kaze To Desktop screensaver (kaze is "wind" in Japanese) on your computer, tell it where in the world you live, and pretty soon what's on your desktop (icons, open web pages, the works) will be blowing about according to the wind conditions in your city. (Don't worry, everything is returned to its rightful place.)

The software is free to try, $8 to buy, and currently works for Windows only (sorry, Mac users, you'll need to sit tight).
