It's no exaggeration when we say we could look at Monoscope all day. It's a blog whose (deliberately anonymous) proprietor simply posts images he or she finds that tickle a fancy or strike a chord.
The premise is skewed to visual design (lots of contemporary artists' work crops up) but that's just one part of it. Everything and anything is fair game for Monoscope, where each image -- presented with little to no commentary -- is curious and compelling: a graphic alphabet of endangered species of the British Isles, an old high school yearbook page, a gallery of title cards from early Warner Brothers cartoons, a grid of Spanish soccer trading cards from 1982 (16 cards, 16 mustaches).
