If you missed Ratatouille in movie theaters, you've got a treat in store when the DVD is released November 6th.

To refresh your memory, this is the animated comedy from Pixar about a rat named Remy who yearns to be a chef. The NY Times wrote this about it: "It provides the kind of deep, transporting pleasure, at once simple and sophisticated, that movies at their best have always promised."

The DVD has some additional goodies, too. There are scenes that were deleted from the final release and there's a feature with director Brad Bird and one of the country's best chefs, Thomas Keller. The disc also includes two animated shorts, one of which, "Your Friend the Rat," stars Remy himself. The other, "Lifted," is a very funny tale of a teenage alien who doesn't exactly ace his how-to-abduct-a-human exam.
