There's some show on tonight about fashion (Project something...). We've got couture on the brain and so does London's V&A Museum, with its gorgeous exhibition of high style called The Golden Age of Couture -- Paris and London 1947-1957.
Whether or not you're able to see the show in person, you can have a fine time on the museum's website, browsing through Dior gowns and Balenciaga suits, a John Cavanagh evening dress, a Givenchy, and a dress and petticoat by Balmain. The 'Explore Couture Houses & Designers' section has lots of interesting factoids about a few dozen key fashion players.
The post-war decade covered is widely considered, as the title suggests, a Golden Age in fashion. Browsing through the site makes a fine appetizer for tonight's next wave of fashion hopefuls.
