We loved Lauren Ambrose's subdued turn as Claire Fisher, the bitter baby sister of the delightfully disturbed mortuary clan on "Six Feet Under," so we're happy to see plenty of upcoming projects on her acting plate. First up is the Sundance '07 favorite Starting Out in the Evening (11/23), a slow burner of a drama adapted from the Brian Morton novel about an aging, reclusive literary master (played with characteristic intensity by Frank Langella) whose world is shaken up by an aspiring writer (Ambrose) bent on bringing him and his work back into the spotlight. Lili Taylor rounds out the trio of incandescent performances as the novelist's daughter. Trailer
