stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

Two sisters, Soomean Chang and Jihwon Im, one living in New York, one in San Francisco, realized during a conversation that they had the same problem: they didn't like using grocery store bags to wrap around the shoes when they traveled.

And quick as you can say Christian Louboutin, a new business was born called Shubi. Shubies are cotton shoe bags that come in 10 prints, each with ribbon drawstrings, to transport the Louboutins and Blahniks (and the rest) so that they arrive at your destination as fabulous as when they left. There are 1-piece ($29) and 2-piece Shubies ($38); the latter is for those who don't want their shoes to touch.

A neat solution to one of those little annoyances and a way to keep reducing the number of plastic bags in your life.
