stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

Gingerbread -- in all forms, from the smell to the taste to the cute gingerpeople that show up at bakeries -- is one of our favorite things about December.

No more cutesy-wutesy gingerbread houses for us: Now that we've seen this mid-century version -- complete with an edible rock garden -- we're wondering where we can find a Barcelona chair made of licorice.

Not edible, doesn't smell of sugar and spice, but it's delicious nonetheless: Brass charms of a gingerbread man and woman hang off this lariat-style necklace.

We love Mrs. Meyer's eco-friendly clean-up products, and her sweet (but not cloyingly so) gingerbread line is a good incentive to party guests to help with the dishes.
