Lookybook is one of those rare situations where digital technology is used to help analog media flourish, not replace it. The site's big idea: Lookybook stores kids' picture books in their entirety online, so you can hunt, peck, flip through, rate and save picks you love, and use all this know-how to help you navigate through the (often frustrating) process of choosing which books are worth bringing into your kids' lives.
Peruse the picks by author, illustrator, subject and genre, or check out the Bookshelves function, which lets you list your Lookybook favorites and check other users' Bookshelves for ideas and recommendations. The site plans to have more than 1000 titles on deck by the middle of next year, and beyond that, they're committed to becoming "the world’s longest bookshelf."
