stuff to buy stuff to do stuff to see

Remember those little flipbooks for kids where the photos come to life as you thumb-fan through the pages? (We had one with a white poodle jumping through a hula hoop in front of a Bavarian castle, which in hindsight seems like something out of Fellini.)

Motionbox -- an online service that's like YouTube for your home videos -- has refreshed the idea with their Motionbooks, which are flipbooks made from your very own footage. Pick the video, select a cover theme and add a title, and voila. It's just $9, makes a delightful gift and it won't give your recipient nightmares like that poodle did.
