In this world of self-help glut, as "experts" everywhere hawk their heal-thyself advice at your local bookstore, we're glad there's Knock Knock: The California design company’s line of Self-Hurt books is the perfect, bracing antidote.
Some of our favorite titles in the series so far include How to Get Fat, How to Traumatize Your Children and How to Procrastinate, and there are others on getting deep into debt, having an ill-behaved dog, driving like a maniac, and so on. The books are witty and sleek, the themes are universal and strangely enough, the authors' 1-2-3 tips on what to do badly offer plenty of reverse-psychology-plying, genuinely helpful advice.
You know, if you're into that sort of thing.
