As the WorldChanging site is quick to point out, its goal is to inspire a conversation, not deliver a sermon.
In the course of that conversation, it provides tools, resources, and solutions to help sustain the planet and reverse the environmental woes that have beset it. Recently published is WorldChanging: A User's Guide for the 21st Century (Harry N. Abrams), a beautifully designed, 600-page companion to the website, with a foreword by Al Gore.
Not only does it offer innumerable practical ideas, the many contributors to the book collectively offer something not always associated with an eco-tome: hope.
And speaking of being Al Gore, An Inconvenient Truth is now available in book form for young readers, from fifth graders up.
