2 Days in Paris, out on DVD next week, is an overlooked charmer starring Julie Delpy, who also wrote and directed. Not everyone liked it -- The New Yorker wrote, "This is not a vanity project. It is an insanity project." So it may be that how happy you are to spend time in Delpy's presence will determine how much you enjoy the flick.
The basic premise is that Delpy and her American amour (Adam Goldberg) are trying to salvage a relationship on the ropes, with two final days of their trip in Delpy's old stomping grounds, a Paris full of includes parents and exes.
Just now in the movie theaters are a lot of terrific movies that happen to be especially grim and/or bloody. Here's an antidote.
